Maria Bubnic’s Story
Maria has been working in senior roles across state and federal agencies for the last 20 years, and brings extensive experience in health system governance, policy and commissioning. This includes former leadership roles in Australia’s national health information and e-health strategies and associated digital health initiatives. Prior to that she worked in the sector as a clinician and researcher, including senior management roles in public mental health services for 10 years across acute, community and residential settings.
Maria is passionate about improving population health and equity, value based health care, and addressing sex and gender differences in health outcomes.
Maria is currently a senior executive for the Victorian Department of Health.
